Bishop C. D. Gearing Jr. is a man of vision, purpose, and destiny. He is an anointed preacher, teacher, and singer of the gospel. He is known throughout the world as a man who boldly stands up and proclaims the Word of God. Bishop Gearing is gifted vocalist and author, who wrote his first book “There is a Way Out” in the year 2005. He is also a powerful evangelist teacher and revivalist.
Bishop C. D. Gearing Jr. was called into ministry at the tender age of twelve. He has been laboring tirelessly for the call and cause of Christ. At the age of fourteen he preached at Olive Vine Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lawson. At the age of nineteen he pastured his first church, Galilee Baptist Church on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays he pastured at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
He later became the assistant pastor at Roker Memorial Church in Gainesville once per month. As a freshman in college, he preached once per month under Pastor Garrison. After attending Gainesville College, Bishop Gearing went on to further his theological studies at Lutheran Bible College in Atlanta. Bishop Gearing also holds an Honorary Degree from the New You Conference Center in New York. Bishop Gearing has also developed cross cultural and racial relation with churches and pastors doing his best to bring all of God’s children together.

Our History
Zion was born out of slavery over 150 years ago. The church was first located in the rural Brookhaven Community of DeKalb County. It is the oldest church in Dekalb County.

On January 14, 1984, Pastor Charles D. Gearing, Jr. accepted the call to pastor Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

In 1995, under the leadership of Pastor Gearing , Zion embraced the Full Gospel Ministry and became Zion Full Gospel World Ministries.

In 1997, Pastor Gearing was consecrated as a Bishop by Arch Bishop Jimmie Lee Smith.

Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Gearing has led Zion through many struggles. He taught us to believe “If you have the faith, God has the power.”
Our Vision
The vision of Zion Full Gospel World Ministries is to let the people of God know that the rewards of following the Lord are not always immediate, but they are worth waiting for. Those who follow the Lord wholeheartedly have a sure inheritance in the Kingdom of God, so let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

Zion Full Gospel World Ministries is a church which chooses to cooperate and fellowship with the redeemed of the Lord, regardless of denominational association. Our Mission is also to change a generation: to bring all mankind into the knowledge of truth that Jesus Christ is Lord and to prepare the body for the work of the ministry.
